Meet Scottie The Bruce!
June 20, 2026
This summer, Glasgow has gone barking mad! 🐾🐾
Last Friday, Glasgow welcomed 92 incredibly decorated Scottie sculptures as part of Maggie’s Glasgow Scotties in the City trail, delivered in partnership with Wild in Art. Each sculpture has been uniquely designed by local artists across Glasgow, celebrating a special piece of Scottish culture, creativity, and heritage.
Cairnhill is delighted to be sponsoring the courageous ‘Scottie the Bruce’, designed and painted by the incredibly talented artist Maureen King. Located at Plantation Quay, opposite the OVO Hydro and SEC Armadillo, our wee warrior is standing proud and paw-sitively ready to welcome visitors throughout the summer. Inspired by one of Scotland’s most legendary figures, Scottie the Bruce is helping shine a spotlight on the incredible support Maggie’s provides to people affected by cancer.
To make the most of the trail, Maggie’s has launched a downloadable app that allows participants to track the Scotties they’ve discovered and unlock exciting rewards from sponsors along the way. As a special keepsake, Cairnhill has also created bespoke collectible coins for individuals to purchase, remembering their encounter with our brave little terrier.
Standing proudly on the banks of the Clyde, Scottie the Bruce is ready to rally his clan, welcome visitors from near and far, and leave his pawprint on Glasgow this summer. With the heart of a King and the spirit of a terrier, he’s sure to become a favourite stop on the trail.
Excited to see Scottie the Bruce stand Cairnhill proud this summer!
