Meet the Team – May

This month, we are spotlighting Ally, our Senior Storeman – who keeps the steady flow of goods in and goods out, ensuring deliveries stay on track.

After 23 years of service with the Scots Guard Regiment, Ally transitioned to civilian life in September 2025, quickly finding his footing at Cairnhill. His discipline and experience made him a natural fit, stepping into the role with immediate impact.

With the freedom to shape the store’s function, Ally has brought structure, efficiency, and strong leadership – key strengths of his military background. In just six months, he and his team have streamlined processes and expanded his remit to include inventory management, material handling, shipping support, documentation, and compliance.

Known for his strong work ethic and team-first approach, Ally supports his colleagues and delivers reliable service. Previously responsible for 400 soldiers, his role closer to home allows him to trade long-term employment for more time with his family. Grateful for the opportunity, Ally is determined to make a lasting, positive contribution as Cairnhill continues to grow.

Outside work, Ally prioiritises family life, keeps fit at the gym, and enjoys watching Scotland’s football team, with plans to travel to Boston with his family for the World Cup.
