Scotties Go To Auction!

A bittersweet moment for Cairnhill last night, as we had the opportunity to attend the final event of the Scottie’s in the City Glasgow Trail – the Scottie’s Auction Night at Glasgow City Chambers.
After an incredible journey across Glasgow, it was time for all the Scottie sculptures to be awarded their new homes. Unfortunately for us, our very own Scottie the Bruce has answered the call to his next battle and will soon be heading off to defend his new territory.
Although sad to see him go, we couldn’t be prouder of the impact Scottie The Bruce has made. Standing proudly along the Clyde and protecting his true home of Glasgow, his journey has been worth fighting for, helping to raise vital funds for Maggie’s Centres. Now, he’ll continue his mission in his new home, standing guard and hopefully helping to protect and support many more people along the way.
Known affectionately as Wee Brucie to everyone at Cairnhill, the team have loved every moment contributing to this campaign, from selecting our design to showcasing him along the Clyde, it has been incredible to see our Highland Hero become part of something special. Being a true honour, and a wonderful way to celebrate 30 years of the incredible work Maggie’s Glasgow does every single day. The impact they have on so many lives is nothing short of inspiring, and we’re proud to have played even a small part in their story.
To the entire Maggie’s team, especially Hayley Smith and Lauren McLean – your hard work, passion and effort have certainly not gone unnoticed. Thank you for letting us be a part of this journey.
Farewell, Brucie…
You may be heading to new lands, but you’ll always have a home at Cairnhill.
