Meet the Team – April

This month, we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Graeme Gilchrist, our Quality and Purchasing Manager – someone who ensures we continue to meet the highest standards.

Bringing over 20 years of experience across the oil & gas and aerospace sectors, Graeme’s transition into steel fabrication has further strengthened his already extensive skillset. Starting his career straight out of high school as a Production Assistant, Graeme has built expertise across production, internal sales, project management and quality.

Graeme plays a key role in developing and maintaining our quality management systems – setting the benchmark, not just meeting it – whilst supporting wider systems that strengthen our supply chain. By keeping suppliers and processes aligned, his work ensures consistency at every stage. A standout achievement is his contribution to Hinkley Point C, his first major project with the company and one he continues to support more than three years on.

What Graeme values most about Cairnhill is the team culture. For him, it’s more than just colleagues – it’s a second family. Known for being reliable and thorough in his work, he’s someone you can always count on, whilst his role as the office practical jokester tends to keep the morale high.

Outside of work, Graeme is a man of many interests; a fan of American Professional Wrestling, horror movies, theme parks, and is an avid collector of movie, music, and wrestling memorabilia – proof that his eye for detail extends well beyond the workplace.
