Green Light for Sizewell C Project

A historic moment for Sizewell C and the UK’s Nuclear Sector: the final investment decision for the project has now been confirmed.

Giving the green light for the £38bn investment in the Suffolk-based nuclear power station, this initiative represents a major milestone in the UK’s journey towards clean energy security and achieving net zero.

This national project is a result of the strong partnership between the UK Government and various private investors, including La Caisse (Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec), Centrica, and Amber Infastructure. It is set to provide clean, reliable energy to six million homes, as well as generate significant economic opportunities for our national industries, local communities, and our workforce.
