Local MP Visit to Sun Works
May 4, 2025
We were honoured to host MP Frank McNally at our headquarters at Sun Works last week.

The high-profile projects within the clean energy, high security, and legacy energy markets have gained considerable publicity recently due to news stories on potential energy shortages and the debate on carbon emissions. But we are also very encouraged by the conversations within the UK government to address this, and their interest in looking at new build clean energy projects, renewables, and improvements to the aging assets within the UK grid and energy networks.
With this firmly in our minds, we were honoured to host Frank McNally at our headquarters at Sun Works last week. Frank is a Member of Parliament for Coatbridge and Bellshill, and having lived locally all his life, he has a keen interest in the surrounding area and helping local businesses succeed. Our wide-ranging conversation touched on Cairnhill Structures efforts to address the engineering skills shortages and what we can all do to encourage more young people to look at traditional trades for their vocations and careers.
It was pleasing to be able to show our distinguished guest some up-to-date progress for our international bridge project, currently under manufacture and destined for Ukraine. While our welding school continues to make great progress, it won’t be long before it’s ready to host their first students and customers on site.
Cairnhill.co.uk – what can we do for you?
