Manual Handling Training

Our workshop team recently put down the tools and picked up a pencil for some additional training in manual handling.
As part of our ongoing commitment to Health and Safety here at Cairnhill, our workshop team recently completed a refresher course in Manual Handling. Taught by our Operations H&S Manager Richard Struthers, this ensured that all employees remained informed, updated, and confident in carrying out safe manual handling practices.
Through our comprehensive training matrix review, we ensure that this refresher training is delivered regularly. Allowing us to be proactive in an attempt to reduce the risk of workplace injuries, including back pain and musculoskeletal disorders, as well as promoting safer and more efficient working methods.
By teaching correct lifting techniques, encouraging the consideration of using mechanical aids, and highlighting the importance of assessing each task that requires the undertaking of any manual handling activity, we are continuing to maintain a strong focus on prevention and best practice within our practical working environments.
