Teddington Launch Lock Gates – River Thames

Cairnhill is proud to be supporting the refurbishment of the Teddington Launch Lock Gates on the River Thames, working alongside BAM UK & Ireland on behalf of the Environment Agency in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.

As part of this critical infrastructure project, Cairnhill have been engaged to provide independent inspection support, ensuring the highest standards of asset integrity and quality assurance throughout the refurbishment program.

Through our Specialist Inspection Division C-Met, we deployed a Senior Welding Inspector and MPI Technician to undertake a comprehensive asset condition survey of the Lock Gates, including 100% Magnetic Particle Inspection of all welds. By identifying and documenting defects requiring remedial work, our inspection is supporting the team in restoring the gates to full operational condition.
